Description:
LakePharma performs site-directed mutagenesis of your gene of interest. The customer provides us with the DNA plasmid containing the gene to be mutated as well as the sequence that is to be changed. LakePharma scientists design the primers and perform and mutagenesis reactions, and return the clients 5-10 micrograms of DNA with the desired mutation. Sequencing of the portion of the gene mutated will be performed as a part of this site mutagenesis service to confirm that the correct mutation was made. Point mutations, deletions, or insertions of several amino acids can be performed in a single mutagenesis reaction. The client is charged the same price for incorporating several mutations, as long as the changes are localized and can be introduced in a single reaction.
